(apologies for my bad English and the possibly babbling comment) Necessary premise: I've got into Doctor Who fandom since a couple of weeks, when curiosity took the best of me and I've started watching a list of episodes suggested by a friend. I've watched EoT tonight, then went hunting for fanfictions, and I found this.

I honestly think it's one of the best stories I've ever read. Your style is beautiful whatever it describes, inner turmoil, vivid dialogues and excellent action scenes, they're all effective and immediate, with a great cinematic quality. I'm still not so familiar with the characters, but you made 'em familiar to me, if that makes sense. Basically, I wish you were a screenwriter in the official serial, seriously! This version is much less dispersive than the original episodes, and WAY more intense, and I utterly loved Donna's role in it. I like your choice of original bits to keep, the way the Doctor and the Master meet the first and second time, and the fact you kept the "get out of the way" moment, which in my opinion was centered on quite a cheap plot device (all the drama bubbling down to nothing 'cause the perfect easy solution is there...), but honestly... the Master's eyes and that smile make it worth every cheap plot devices around.

The ending is so sad and yet so perfect, and a part of me really wants to ask if you ever to plan on writing something more taking from here...
This story is beautiful and I love it.

Ok, enough for babbling, I'm sorry if this came out kind of incoherent... anyway, you're a GREAT writer, and I thank you for this story!!!
