I don't know if you ever read these picture books, but feeding the wolf the doughnut reminded me of "If you give a mouse a cookie" and "if you give a moose a muffin". It sounds like it would fit right in! "If you give a wolf a doughnut"--he'll probably lick your ear. ;)
